John is one of the managing principals of Grubb & Ellis|Levy Beffort. He joined the company immediately after graduating from the University of Kansas in 1985. He specializes in restaurant and retail real estate and has well-established local, regional and national clients that depend on him for his expertise and extensive market knowledge to advise them in all aspects of site selection, property acquisition and property disposition.
John's expertise and dedication to seeing projects through from inception to completion has been the catalyst for his many long-term client relationships. Because his clients know that he is always working in their best interest, they return to him for project after project. Clients appreciate his specialized approach to business knowing that his focused "rifle approach" serves them better than a "shotgun approach".

- John began his real estate career with Grubb & Ellis | Levy Beffort at a time when the economic climate in Oklahoma was being battered from many directions. He was able to find a niche in working with restaurants and retail clients needing to reposition themselves in a difficult market.
- The list of shopping center and retail clients continued to grow for John such that today he is recognized in the industry as a premier restaurant and retail broker in Oklahoma City and Tulsa and their surrounding metro areas.
- John is also directly involved in developing single-use retail, restaurant and medical projects.
- John imparts much of his market knowledge in working with other brokers throughout the Southwest that aspire to be CCIM’s (Certified Commercial Investment Member) a designation he has held since 1996.
